May 22 2008 - Harem Dancers at Beats Without Borders at 11 pm at the Red Room (398 Richards St) Followed by master dj Jef Stott and his sidekick Drumsyder. Prepare to boogie at this sensual and exotic event!

Ashley will be performing at the BANQUET OF BROADS - MAY 1st ...in association with The Vancouver International Burlesque Festival 2008....A saucy hot show hosted by NYC's (and now Vancouver's) Kitty Nights, "The Purrrfessor", with pole dancing, burlesque, acrobatic aerial silks, comedy, go-go dancing, belly dancing, i-braineater's (Jim Cummins) art and more. Take a deep breath and be ready for some SERIOUS FUN!

This is going to be one outrageous and fabulous buffet so come sate your desire for variety dressed in your classiest vintage attire. Prizes!

***Members of HAREM perform at Ginger 62 on the last Thursday of every month, at 10:30 pm for High Society - Global Beats Bollywood Tunes Bhangra Hits. Tickets will be available at the door. Please come and visit us there!

***HAREM performs regular individual shows at various restaurants across the Lower Mainland, including Taverna Gorgona, Taverna Greka, Felicos, Alekos, Bouzyous, Paros and Cosmos.

CLASSES:

Ashley will be teaching Beginner & Intermediate Bellydance at Riley Park Community Centre (50 East 30th Avenue Vancouver, BC) commencing Wednesday April 30 2008. The cost is $67 for 9 weeks and registration starts March. 6 2007.

***Ashley and Danielle of Harem joined with Sahara Breeze to perform at the Silver Frost Nights, a performance hosted by Bellyfringe Bellydance, starring Suhaila Salimpour of San Francisco on Nov. 18, 2006. The performance was a smash hit and the line up was great. Thanks to Martina for hosting this event, and thanks to everyone for a sold out show!!

***Ashley and Danielle of Harem performed at "Greek Days" at Cosmos Taverna in White Rock on August 6, 2006 at the Sea Fest Beach Festival.

***Ashley and Danielle performed with Ninawa: Eastern Magic at the Arab Festival on November 20, 2005 at the Planetarium.  They would like to thank everyone involved.

*** Ashley and Danielle would like to thank Meda for organizing "Twilight at the Oasis" at the James Cowan Theatre on October 22, 2005 .   The two members of Harem performed with "Ninawa: Eastern Magic" and received excellent reviews in November's issue of Sahda.

** Ashley, Danielle and Simone of Harem each performed at "Greek Days" at Cosmos Taverna in White Rock on July 31, 2005 at the Sea Fest Beach Festival.  Ashley and Danielle also danced with Moh Al Ratta and Moh Abu Ras as part of their company, "Ninawa:Eastern Magic".   Thanks to everyone for coming out.  

**We would like to thank everyone for coming to the June 5, 2005 Moh and Moh workshop.  We appreciated everyone taking the time to let us know what you thought and thank you all so much for the wonderful reviews.  We look forward to seeing you at future workshops with Moh Al Ratta and Abu Ras.

** Ashley and Danielle of Harem performed on April 27, 2005 at “KAN YA MAKAN” (“Once Upon a Time”) A Middle Eastern fantasy in folklore dinner show at Mona's, featuring Moh Alratta and Moh Abu Ras, along with several other dancers, including Rahma and her students.

**Harem performed at "NON-STOP BELLYDANCE" on Friday April 25, 2005 at the Hot Jazz Club along with many other wonderful dancers.  Featured performers included Venus, Sahra Saeda, the world famous Polynesian and bellydancer Aziz, and Moh Alratta and Moh Abu Ras, formerly of the Lebanese dance company Caracalla.  We thank Venus for organizing everything, and our audience for their ardent response and continued support.

**Harem performed at Beats Without Borders on Thursday March 31, 2005to a very enthusiastic crowd.  We had an excellent time and would like to thank everyone who came out to see us.  We hope you all enjoyed the show.
